I’m a writer and dancer based in Buffalo, New York. While I live in Buffalo I often travel to New York City for various projects as well. Currently I’m an editor/staff writer at RTT News, a global newswire service, where I edit and write entertainment, music and health news. I also freelance for several publications in Buffalo and New York City, some of which include The Public, Resource Magazine, SimConcierge (blog) and Niagara Gazette. In the past I’ve written for Latin Post, HotNewHipHop, CentralPark.com, and Broadwayworld.com.
As far as my dance experience goes, I’ve been dancing since I was three and haven’t stopped since. I started out taking tap, ballet and jazz, but eventually became fascinated with the world of hip hop, contemporary and modern dance.
Since 2007 I’ve taught at several different dance studios, including Spirit of Dance, Jeanie’s Dance Connection, Jaclyn Carol’s Dance Academy and Lewiston Dance Center. I also owned my own dance business, Danceamour, from September 2012 to October 2013, where I taught dance classes at the Project 308 Gallery in North Tonawanda, New York.
While living in Brooklyn in 2014 I served as an assistant dance instructor at The Mark Morris Dance Center.
Over the years I’ve been a part of dance companies, such as Tanzen Dance Company, Mone Dance Company and also danced with my own company Danceamour. I’ve performed at local events such as The Elmwood Art Festival, Infringement Festival, Music Is Art Festival and Italian Festival (both in Niagara Falls and Lewiston).
With my knowledge of dance I’ve written several articles to promote the dance scene within Buffalo and New York City. I also enjoy writing articles about music and other art forms.
The current dance company I’m affiliated with is Femme Noire, a contemporary burlesque fusion dance company.
